I need to get over myself.

Or, at least, get out of my own head.

Besides that RPS piece I posted the last three fics I've started I haven't finished. I stop them because either I remember something or someone posts a new story and they feel too familiar to me so they end up sitting in Word. Which is stupid because they aren't the same, like, at all besides something simple like Noah being tied up or Luke being bossy in bed. And I do get that we are all pretty much playing in the same playground with the same characters so stuff gets repeated.

That's not what's stopping me but it's hard to explain.

I think maybe because I don't throw 10,000 words of plot out that I'm just overanalyzing other stuff. So if I have a sex sequence I'm doing and it feels like it's been done then no go for me. It's one of the reasons I've never done a rimming piece. I've always wanted to but there was a time there that it seemed to be a hot kink so ... I talked myself out of it. Which is totally silly because we all have different styles but I don't know, I just have become really aware of everything. I remember when I had found out that something I had written had a similar theme and I was so stressed that I had to email someone and have them tell me it was still okay to post.

But I was catching up on fic this weekend and read a piece from someone else and I guess I need to just relax because it happens. I think I might be the only one so worried about this to the point that I'm screwing myself up and stopping from finishing things. BAH.

So I was at the gym with a good friend of mine today and we were catching up on the few shows we both watch. Which, btw, is always kinda hilarious because we don't agree on anything we watch. Ever. Name a character or pairing and we disagree. Heh. Anyway, we started talking about The Vampire Diaries (which is totally my new shiny toy this season!) and the characters. For those that don't watch it involves a pair of vampire brothers, one "evil" and one "good," and them vying for the same girl. I said I liked Damon (the evil one because HOLY HELL HAI THERE IAN SOMERHALDER)



and she started talking about how she enjoyed Stefan (the good one) and Elena together and blah blah. And me? What do I say?

I always feel late with these things! Okay. I wasn't going to do this but it's been fun! Plus I figured writing drabbles might get my tush moving on the fics sitting open in Word. Snagged from sweetiejelly and awesomely started by indigo_5.

* I am ridiculously sore today. I went to the gym yesterday and my quads are protesting this I think. Don't get me wrong - I love the gym - but the next day where I wanna call my friend up who helped put me in this Motrin induced moment and yell? Not so much.

* I was pretty sure my crush for Rachel Maddow couldn't grow any bigger. Then she showed up back from her vacation to talk about the Sarah Palin fuckery in waders this week. Seriously, can I just marry her and be done with it? ♥

* After marathoning Damages the past 2 weeks (the show is fucking insane and I love it) I have now come to the conclusion that I want to be Glenn Close when I grow up. And with Patty Hewes' wadrobe.

* I may or may not have a new favorite show on abc family called Make It Or Break It. Maybe. But it's totally possible given my highly guilty pleasure of all things abc family and their stupid addicting shows. And the fact that I can never pass up a good slice of teen!angst. But, like I said, maybe.

* Sometimes when my fandom gets all SRS BUSINESS I just want to pat its little head and pinch its little cheeks. So cute when it gets all, like, silly and dramatic. *ruffles its hair*

* If I had one wish it would be for people to recognize that nowhere in the word come is there a "u."

* Also, if someone could figure out how to end the word "seed" in my reading I'd be your sex slave forever. If that's what you want, of course. I also make a mean choc. chip cookie so the choice is entirely up to you.
